Mini personal fall limiter

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

The Mini Personal Fall Limiter (PFL) from MSA Latchways’ product range has proved to be one of the most successful work-at-height product launches of the year, according to the company.

As the first product developed after MSA Safety’s acquisition of Latchways, it showcases the powerful dynamic between the global reach of the former and the engineering excellence of the latter.

Working straight out of the box with no need for complex and time consuming re-calibration, the Mini PFL’s quality design, testing and manufacture give customers a right-first-time solution.

PFLs work in a similar manner to a seat belt, permitting normal movement to facilitate work but in the event of a sudden fall, the mechanism locks preventing any further movement.

Small and light, an ultra-tough transparent casing offers at-a-glance checking as well as completely sealing inner components, making it a suitable choice where dirt and grime are present. The Mini PFL is 1.8 m in length making it suitable for working where space is limited.
