Training for renewables and utilities

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Training and equipment provider Safety Technology Ltd. (STL) and 8point8 Group (8P8), a leader in telecoms operation, maintenance and training, are joining forces to offer a full range of training options to meet and exceed the requirements of technicians in the renewables and telecoms sectors.

STL, who already jointly operate a growing number of training facilities in the UK., was one of the first ever companies to gain RenewablesUK and GWO approval in 2011.

STL MD Bob Dickens said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with 8point8 as this will enable us to combine our considerable experience and expertise and to jointly offer a wider range of training courses and excellent facilities in an ideal location to support the growing wind energy market on the East cost of the UK.”

8point8 Group's new, state-of-the-art centre in Doncaster, South Yorkshire tailors course content to suit customer requirements, whilst ensuring safety is never compromised. Plans are already in place to add IRATA training, sea survival courses and bespoke training built to meet the specific requirements of individual clients and sectors.
