Gripping for packaging automation
Piab’s Kenos range of suction pad grippers are suitable for packaging and palletising. Suction pads or foam provide gripping tools that are very forgiving in terms of positioning, which enables them to be used in less precise applications.
The Kenos gripping system uses Piab’s proprietary and energy efficient multi-stage vacuum ejection technology (COAX) in combination with specially developed, high quality suction pads/foam (FDA approved foam available) to make flexible and efficient lifting heads which guarantee optimal grip under all circumstances.
The grippers are able to satisfy the needs of industrial sectors such as glass, food, packaging and electronics as well as assisting with the handling of practical applications like stone/marble, wood and metal sheets.
The technical foam or suction cups of varying dimensions and characteristics are said to provide an impressive gripping surface.
