The FLS Dimetix laser sensor is designed to measure over long distances to a high degree of accuracy, incorporating Swiss precision and 100% testing.
With a measuring range up to 500 metres and repeatability of ±0.15mm (1sigma) the FLS-C-10 is suitable for position sensing in a variety of industrial applications requiring monitoring of position, level, or size.
Properly integrated, they are said to be rugged enough to withstand extreme environments from -40 to +50ºC and are often used in steel/glass production facilities.
There is also a range of output options such as 4~20mA, RS232C and SSI as standard which are all programmable for process control. There are even three digital outputs, two of which can be used as relay or error alarms.
