Awareness raising talks

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

An awareness raising talk is ideal for organisations who wish to provide staff with an awareness of personal safety issues but the level of risk in their roles does not require in depth training.

Our talks are always highly interactive and are a good way of getting staff to start thinking about the importance of their own personal safety both in work and outside of work. Talks will be tailored to your needs.

Topics talks cover include:

· Lone Working – the law and the responsibilities of the employer and staff

· Risk Assessment – identifying and mitigating risks related to all aspects of work

· Home Visits – best practice for staying safe while conducting a home visit

· Travelling Safely tips while travelling for work

· Using Personal Alarms – the purpose, how to use them and recommended alarms

· Reporting Incidents – procedures to be followed by staff and employers

Personal safety talks take place in house and last 90m – 2hrs. The talks can be delivered during office hours as well as evenings and weekends.
