Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Phoenix and Health Safety delegate Ian Adamson has received recognition as the top performing candidate for Unit A of the National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, accredited by NEBOSH, for 2017/18 and will receive a best candidate award for his efforts.

NEBOSH Diplomas are degree-level and globally recognised qualifications aimed at health and safety advisors and environmental practitioners who wish to develop their career and go on to management, consultancy or advisory positions.

Ian, who serves as global construction manager for pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, spent a total of seven weeks studying across a six-month period to gain the qualification.

He said: “I’m extremely pleased and proud to receive this accolade and I can’t thank the team at Phoenix Health and Safety enough for their continued support throughout the course.”

Managing director of Phoenix Health and Safety Nick Higginson said: “Here at Phoenix we pride ourselves on creating enjoyable training courses and giving students the opportunity to be flexible with their learning. This is a fantastic achievement and we’re extremely proud of Ian. The NEBOSH Diploma is a highly regarded industry accreditation and our courses consistently receive excellent pass rates, which I believe is down to our expert team of tutors and the quality of course material provided.”
