THE 2020 AWARDS, which had Lyreco as Headline Sponsor, were held as part of the BSIF PPE Digital Conference, which attracted more than 1,100 registrations and saw 1,900 online chats between the delegates.

The quality of the entries for all the categories were exceptional and our judges had an enormous task choosing finalists and winners from over 200 entries, and I would like to personally thank the judges for their help and time. 

While we normally enjoy an in room audience of over 500 people, this year we benefited from an even larger audience in this digital capacity, as well as offering the event on demand.

The awards kicked off with a comedy set from impressionist Alistair McGowan, sponsored by Shawcity, before the winners of the Awards were revealed.

Congratulations to all the winners, highly commended and commended of the 11 categories, which this year included the new safer logistics award – a celebration of safety excellence in the logistics and supply chain sectors. The award recognises the most impressive achievements in a safety campaign or project throughout the industry over the past 12 months, honouring the key individuals and teams involved.

Entries to the 2021 Awards are still open and I urge you to get your entries in for these important awards. Winners of the 2021 Awards will be announced on the 13 October as part of the new interactive digital conference. The SHE Awards play a key role in recognising the outstanding contributions the industry makes in keeping people and premises safe. It only takes a few minutes to enter and it offers the opportunity for your team or brand to be recognised by your peers.

Categories include Health and Safety Manager of the Year, H&S Team of the Year, Unsung Hero,, Campaign of the Year, Best H&S in Construction, Rising Star, Best H&S in Manufacturing and Best H&S Project. This year sees the addition of the Safer Logistics Award, bringing the total number of awards to 11. 

The 2022 Awards will return to the Vox, where attendees will be able to enjoy everything they expect from the SHE Awards, which has become a highlight of the health and safety calendar.
