Tata Global Beverage’s Eaglescliffe tea
factory, which is home to the Tetley
brand, has reduced its waste removal
transport costs by 20% by using a
waste compactor from Greenbank.

Manufacturing engineer, Mike
Peacock, said: “Waste materials used to
get blown out of the skip creating
cleanliness and housekeeping issues.

Greenbank installed a Mobile
Compactor model PCW20 to help the
company dispose of a mixture of waste
tea bags, cardboard cartons, corrugated
cardboard and plastic film. Because we
knew we would not get contamination
into the production process with a selfcontained
compactor unit, we were
able to remove the walls surrounding
the compactor which was really helpful
to us.”
