Walk your way to safer handling
THE FOCUS on the Combilift stand at this year’s Health and Safety Event is on the company’s pedestrian trucks. These can replace ride-on forklifts to ensure safer operations when they are working in close proximity to other personnel or the general public who may be in the vicinity.
These models include the Combi-WR reach stacker, the multidirectional Combi-WR4, the counterbalance design Combi-CS and the Combi-PPT power pallet truck. A key feature is the unique patented multi-position tiller arm which can be turned to the left or right of the unit. This allows the operator to remain at the side of the machine – the safest position – rather than at the rear. This assures excellent visibility and vastly reduces the risk of operators being trapped between the back of the machine and racking when picking and placing in narrow aisles.
