Bird-scaring kite takes off
BIRD SCARING kites from Scare’m have been a huge hit with a global audience and the company has launched a newly designed pole with a locking system preventing the poles from collapsing.
Scare’m Complete has been selling to international companies including SkadedyrButikken Rentokill in Scandinavia. In Germany, the Scare’m Vineyard is also incredibly popular and sold via distributer Saat-ud Ernteschutz. Whilst, in Southern Ireland, Brandon Marketing based in Dublin has added the Marine Scare’m to their stock list. Further afield, Scare’m is sold to Bouctouche Bay Industries Ltd in Canada to protect their oyster cages. Bridgeport Marina, New York continue to use the Scare’m to protect their marinas from seagulls. The Marine Scare’m is used extensively to protect super yacht fleets all around the world. Clients are located as far south as Tasmania.
Scare’m Vineyard – is proving popular in the UK’s Viticulture sector, which is expanding due to the new microclimate. The latest Wine Standards figures show the total UK vineyard planting is nearly 4,000ha. It has been reported that the UK is growing some of the best wines in the world. With vineyards producing such valuable crops, protection is paramount, and the Scare’m Vineyard is designed especially to protect vineyards.
As farmers will concur, unwanted birds on farms are generally a nuisance. Flocks of birds can be destructive to both arable land, crops and farm buildings. In addition, the foul detritus from roosting and nesting birds can spread diseases.
