Non-slip gets a grip

Following an accident on a smooth
concrete fire escape stairway, one of
the UK’s largest water and
wastewater service companies
contacted Belzona looking for a
repair solution to prevent this from
happening again. The concrete steps
had worn and the current safety grip
system had become almost none
existent due to heavy foot traffic and
weathering, resulting in a dangerous
slip hazard.

Belzona offered a hard wearing,
safety grip system as a solution which
would reduce the potential risk of
future accidents. Belzona 4411
(Granogrip), a durable non-slip
system which incorporates a hardwearing
aggregate was selected for
the application. The job was
completed within three weeks with
minimal disruption to employees
and is now providing a safe, well
gripped fire escape.
