0HSAS 18001 certification success

SGS Oil, Gas and Chemicals (OGC)
Services has announced the
achievement of BS OHSAS
18001:2007 certification covering all
of its OGC activities.

Certification to OHSAS 18001 was
a two-stage process. The first stage
involved an on-site documentation
review of the safety management
system by the auditors.

At the second stage, the auditors
focused on operational compliance
with the 18001 standard and the
health and safety management system.

This process included checking that
the system is effective, reviewing risk
assessments and ensuring compliance
with legislation and effective
communication at all levels with the
aim of continual improvement.

The accredited certification was
delivered by ABS Quality Evaluations.
