Sichelschmidt has developed a
pedestrian pallet truck which accords
to Ex-protection guidelines and
meets the stringent requirements of
GMP-Cleanroom Class C directives.

The first of these, a wide gauge
truck with a load capacity of 1250kg,
is in operation in the controlled
cleanroom environment of a major
pharmaceutical manufacturer
where it feeds
weighing
scales in the
filling area
with containers
and aluminium pallets and transports
decanters to the cleaning and
sterilising station.

Handling equipment for this sector
must release only a designated
minimum of particles, with specialist
trucks made of stainless steel
traditionally being the preferred
solution. By incorporating special
coatings for
steel
components
and solvent
resistant synthetic
materials,
Sichelschmidt has
reduced the amount
of stainless steel for a
more cost effective solution, whilst
adhering to exacting standards to
prevent product contamination.
