Gate Safe, the national safety initiative
which campaigns for improved
standards in automated gate safety, has
announced the roll out of its IOSH
(Institution of Occupational Safety
and Health) accredited Gate Safe
Aware training course.

The formal half day training
course represents an important
landmark for Gate Safe, which has
always strongly voiced the need for
an enhanced understanding of the
standards and guidelines pertaining
to automatic gates amongst all
professionals associated with a
powered gate installation.

The Gate Safe Aware course has
been especially developed with IOSH,
working with the Tailored Course
Approval Team. The course is
intended to provide a comprehensive
overview of the key factors
influencing the safety of an automatic
gate and the recommended safety
protocol that should be followed to
ensure a compliant installation.
