Following on from initiatives
developed by the NHS as a result of
the increased number of days lost to
industrial related illness and injury,
Spectrum Healthcare’s ErgoKneeler
and similar devices are said to have
become standard issue in many
different types of employment.

Since the product was launched in
2011, not only has it been supplied to
the healthcare market (hospitals,
hospices, care homes, maternity
nurses and community nurses) but
into occupations such as plumbing,
carpet fitting, sign writing and even
into the automotive industry.

The ErgoKneeler has been
designed to reduce the compression
forces through the knees and it also
provides cushioning support to the
ankles to help prevent extreme
plantar flexion. The angle of the seat
also facilitates good spinal posture.
