Temperature controlled concerns

According to the Food Storage &
Distribution Federation (FSDF), in
the temperature controlled food
logistics sector there are three main
areas of concern and focus:
Dangerous Substances and
Explosive Substances Regulation
2002
Legionella Management and
Prevention
Working at Height – Repair and
Maintenance of Mobile
Refrigeration Plant
The FSDF has been
working closely with the
HSE to produce
guidance for owners of
ammonia refrigeration
plants to assist them to
comply with DSEAR 2002.

The main purpose of this
guidance was to complement
IEC60079-10-1 which is the
International Standard that provides
detailed requirements for hazardous
area classification in accordance
with DSEAR.
