Recycling revamp
DeckSafe Solutions has ensured the safety of users at a household recycling centre by installing facilities incorporating non-slip surfaces.
The company was commissioned to eliminate a number of potentially slippery, uneven and hazardous concrete steps and surfaces at the centre in Stoke Gifford near Bristol.
It installed three raised platforms accessed via gently sloping ramps complete with sturdy, non-slip gritted surfaces. Now, householders can carry their waste up the ramps without losing their footing, especially during adverse weather conditions. A set of safety handrails were also installed on each ramp.
Used throughout the refurbishment, DeckSafe’s Solid Top Panels are suitable for pedestrian access, and are said to be cost effective with high environmental standards.
