A helping hand

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

2013 has seen a stream of heart-wrenching news stories being broadcast, many involving building collapses caused by natural disasters such as earthquakes, or caused by rockets or high explosive shells as in Syria.

Watching people scrabble through rubble with their bare hands to reach those trapped beneath, Stuart Gibbons, MD of Le Mark Group, realised Le Mark could help in a small way.

They donated 4000 Dirty Rigger gloves – very early production work gloves that were ‘written off’ for aesthetic and minor faults – to international disaster and emergency agency Shelterbox, which provides tents and other equipment, often having to work where damaged buildings or vegetation have to be cleared.
