Santia Consulting is holding a regional presentation of its new service, Day 1 Absence Management, which will help businesses reduce the cost of sickness absence.

The event will be held in London on Tuesday 10th September, at a venue to be confirmed and will demonstrate how, through active management and control; the new service gives a deeper understanding and delivers reductions in sickness absence and associated costs and enables occupational health and wellbeing initiatives and interventions to be targeted more effectively now and in the future.

Santia’s Day 1 Absence management service is an integrated telephone, online and consultative absence management service that enables businesses to track manage and reduce sickness absence. It is underpinned by Clinical Governance, Santia’s experienced occupational health team and proprietary online absence management IT solution ‘erisk’ which is fully configurable and enables total and live visibility of absences within the business.

Karen Halford, Director of Occupational Health and HR at Santia said “Absence management is a big concern for businesses as the costs of days lost can soon escalate. Effective absence management holds the key to a significant cost saving potential. Many businesses are missing out on a great opportunity as they are either using an out-dated approach or not recording sickness absence at all. Our own experience demonstrates that savings can be as much as 28%, and we’re confident that even a conservative 10% saving can generate a 700% return on investment”.
