Plan, inspect, report

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

BBMV has implemented Safetrak on the major Crossrail project to keep up-to-date with their equipment inspections and reporting.

Safetrak, the digital system which helps you plan, inspect and report, has been used for monitoring and testing pressurised concrete pipe systems at the C510 Liverpool Street and Whitechapel Station Tunnels project.

BBMV, a joint venture comprising construction companies Balfour Beatty, Alpine BeMO Tunnelling, Morgan Sindall and VINCI Construction, has employed a full time plant maintenance engineer to ensure data recording regimes are adhered to.

Using Safetrak, inspections are planned and work orders are downloaded to an operator’s handheld computer. Email notifications alert the user when an inspection is due.

RFID or barcode technology means you can perform asset inspections using a handheld computer and manage the planning and subsequent reports on the office computer.
