International award finalist
GlassGuard, manufacturer of Europe’s widest range of fragment retention lamps, is celebrating reaching the finals of the 2013 Eastern Daily Press Business Awards, in the International Business category, at its first attempt.
The aim of the International Business category of the Awards is to, “discover those who have turned their ambitions to trade internationally into a successful source of new business and growth”.
GlassGuard’s Stewart Damonsing said: “The place in the final is a culmination of GlassGuard’s strategic decision to move into European and global markets, which has seen us appoint local sales managers in overseas markets and international sales support staff at Head Office.
“We have also established an electrical wholesaler network across Europe and Africa. In addition, we have invested in dedicated native-language literature and websites for our main European markets.”
