Flame & heat resistance

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

KERMEL, the manufacturer of meta-aramid fibres for flame and heat resistant protective clothing, presented its new solutions at the A+A 2013 trade show.

KERMEL X-FLASH is a top-of-the-range fabric in terms of mechanical resistance. It was first developed in Canada to protect workers from flash fire and electric arc flash hazards. It exceeds NFPA 70E, HRC 2 and NFPA 2112 standards.

KERMEL DENIM SOFTSHELL is based on the qualities of Kermel Denim protective fabrics, with key properties including stylish design and wearer comfort.

A new combat suit for the German Army meets all the required criteria in terms of future soldier equipment, while a new range of fire suits for fire fighters, meeting EN 469, has been made with patented Anti-Sweat Technology (AST), which is said to significantly improve the breathability of the garment and wearer comfort.
