Intelligent fire door

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

We all know we need to keep fire doors closed to hinder the spread of fire, yet often particularly in nursing and residential care buildings ease and convenience mean doors are propped open.

Leading fire safety innovator Fireco’s wire-free device Freedor holds fire doors open at any angle but automatically closes the door when the fire alarm sounds.

Simple, neat and unobtrusive, Freedor has no wires and is easy to install in new buildings and retrofit. With a battery life of between 12-18 months, it also comes in a number of finishes including chrome, brass and stainless steel.
