New from Rock Fall, the
Tomcat range of stylish total
protection footwear, is
reported to be the first to
incorporate internal
metatarsal protection to meet
European S3 Safety Standards.
Designed for the comfort and
safety of personnel working in
hazardous environments, the
boots were developed through
extensive research and testing,
replacing the traditionally
heavy, uncomfortable boots
currently on the market.
The range surpasses the
EN ISO 20345:2004/A1 2007
European Safety Standards.
The main design feature is
the patented, integral
metatarsal protector: a
lightweight, flexible inner
plate that protects the
wearer’s fragile metatarsal
bones from impact. The
footwear is manufactured to
the highest S3 specification
and also protects the user’s
toes and sole with a metal
toecap and steel mid-sole.
Using full grain leather
and Rock Fall’s ‘Activ-step’
foot-bed for comfort, the
boots also feature rubber
outsoles constructed for the
highest durability and are
able to withstand heat up to
300°C. Developed with the
wearer and their specific
working environment in
mind, the range also includes
a fully waterproof design.
Rockfall is giving away one
pair of boots to an HSM
