Advice and expertise from industry leaders at The Health & Safety Event

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

The new Health & Safety Event, which takes place on 11-13th March 2014 at the Birmingham NEC, will give visitors the opportunity to engage with some of the leading bodies in the industry.

The British Safety Council (BSC) is organising the event’s FREE three-day educational conference that will address the latest issues in health and safety. Speakers include Jane Willis, Director of Cross-cutting Interventions, Health & Safety Executive; John Holt, Director HS&E at Rolls-Royce plc; and Steve Hails, Health & Safety Director at Crossrail.

The Health & Safety Laboratory (HSL) will be represented on the panel of experts at the thrice-daily Safety Dialogue roundtable debates on Noise Induced Hearing Loss, Behavioural Safety Techniques and Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE). On Stand A45 in the Exhibition hall, visitors can also pick up a free copy of the HSL new white paper, which provides advice on how to construct a business case for evaluating your safety culture using HSL’s safety climate tool.
Safety Groups UK will discuss its successful Health Risks at Work ‘Champions’ initiative in the Safety Dialogue theatre and all attendees will be given a FREE ‘Introducing Health Risks at Work’ multi-language DVD.

The Access Industry Forum (AIF) is supporting the educational programme by delivering daily presentations on the latest Working At Height developments, standards and guidance.
