What’s your position?

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Full scale disasters are thankfully rare in this country but if an emergency arises anywhere in the UK how many businesses have the capability to contact staff within minutes?

CSL Web, the UK web designer has developed ‘POSITION’ an ‘emergency contact’ programme that allows businesses to contact staff in any affected area within minutes of report.  The programme is designed to suit the needs of companies of 20+ employees to multi nationals with offices, shops and staff throughout the UK and Ireland – and globally.
The POSITION programme contains mapping information for the whole country on a macro/micro scale.  The user simply logs in the contact details of each member of staff and in the event of an emergency uses the map to contact staff in the direct locale and surrounding radius. The member of staff will receive an ‘alert’ text’ to ensure safety, unnecessary travel and loss of business hours.
POSITION is designed to communicate any level of ‘emergency’ – from major disasters, local floods, flight delays – to notifying staff about using an alternative entrance to the building.
