Committed to helping up to 23
formerly homeless people live, work
and rebuild their lives, the
Hampshire branch of the Emmaus
Communities depends on the lifting
muscle of its Stannah Goodsmaster
goods lift.

Used since March 2009, the unit
moves loads of up to 1000kg
between two floors. It is the only way
to shift the donated furniture and
household items from the groundfloor
delivery area to the first-floor
warehouse for storage – and back
down again when needed.

Designed with safety in mind, the
low-headroom Goodsmaster is
accessed via a dual entry system
comprising a single, hinged, steel
door behind which a collapsible gate
reinforces security of contents.
