Since 1992, Fastlane has been providing entrance control solutions developed by Integrated Design Limited (IDL).
From physical barriers to intelligent systems, the systems are supplied to clients around the globe, in a bid to deliver projects on time, to budget and surpassing clients’ expectations.
The products are designed to be integrated with every known access control system, along with time and attendance, building management systems, lift destination and HVAC controls.
At the heart of a Fastlane product is a multi-directional infrared beam matrix with a custom designed microcontroller that uses neural network concepts to provide an opinion-forming ‘entity management’ system. The system ‘thinks’ in real-time, analysing the pattern of beam breaks to accurately position pedestrians in the lane, safely closing the barriers behind people and detecting tailgaters as close as 5mm. The system operates bi-directionally and discriminates against unwanted optical signals.
