Honeywell launches DeepBlue Winter Gloves

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Honeywell describes its new DeepBlue Winter gloves as an alternative to traditional leather gloves with excellent thermal and grip performance.

Suitable for industries such as oil and gas, utilities, construction, rail and transport, the gloves are designed to keep hands warm, dry and comfortable, and enable workers to grip oily and wet components in cold environments.

The DeepBlue Winter gloves are fully dipped nitrile foam coated with a polar fleece lining. According to Honeywell it keeps hands dry and warm in temperatures down to minus 20°C.
With the highest abrasion resistance score of 4 under the EN388 standard for gloves protecting against mechanical hazards, the nitrile foam coating improves dexterity and provides the gloves with excellent grip in wet and oily environments. The lifespan of the glove is also longer than traditional leather gloves as DeepBlue Winter can be washed regularly at 40°C without affecting performance.
DeepBlue Winter gloves include an adjustable wrist strap to provide a better fit. The new gloves have also been tested in the market by a large oil and gas company.
