Prevent influenza

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

According to a report by Public Health England, 142 people were hospitalised in the first week of 2015 suffering from influenza.

Manty Stanley, managing director at TEAL Patents comments: “People suffer more commonly from influenza throughout the winter months due to the sudden drop in temperature.

“Although they are no real cures, it is widely recognised that by following the gold standard of hand hygiene – by washing hands with soap and warm running water – it may prevent the further spread of influenza.”

TEAL Patents is a manufacturer of portable hand wash units that don’t require access to mains water or drainage. Its newest model, the TEAL Stop n’Wash, has been built to educate and encourage the correct hand washing procedures. Featuring a synchronised display, which takes users through the automatic program and seven rubbing actions as laid down by NHS guidelines, the TEAL Stop n’Wash provides a 35-second hot water hand wash cycle.

Touch-free and fully automatic, the device has no levers or taps to re-infect hands. Pathogen-safe, the TEAL Stop n’Wash has a simple hygiene cycle using 500ppm chlorine solution is carried out every 24 hours.
