Police walk with stealth
Magnum UK has been awarded a new three year footwear contract with Civil Nuclear Constabulary after a successful wearer trial of the Stealth Force 8.0 SZ CT CP with toe bumper was conducted in February.
The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is the armed police force in charge of protecting civil nuclear sites and materials in England, Scotland and Wales. The force have to be protected from tough elements and need high quality equipment and gear to remain safe and protected.
Following in the footsteps of the heavy duty Magnum Shield Public Order boot, which Magnum has supplied to the Civil Nuclear Constabulary since May 2013, the Stealth Force collection has proven to be more suitable in fitting the needs of the demanding job role.
The Stealth Force collection are the styles quoted for the tender, however the side zip feature for quick donning and doffing was successful in the trial and is predicted to be the most popular Stealth Force boot style.
Benefits of the Stealth Force CT CP SZ with Toe Bumper include: a durable water resistant breathable full-grain leather upper; X-208 high abrasion resistant 1.4-1.6 mm thick split leather toe bumper with high tensile and tear strength (1,000 cycles H22 50 gram Taber); and a composite toe cap and penetration resistant plate which is as strong as steel but more lightweight, and also scanner safe. The footwear is also tested and certified to European Standard EN ISO 20345:2011 S3 HI CI HRO AN WR SRC.
