Seventh gold medal for Stannah

The Stannah Lift Group has been awarded a seventh consecutive Gold in the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2015.

The British family owned nationwide lift company, will celebrate 150 years of trading in 2017. 
The gold medal was presented to group director Jon Stannah
during a ceremony at the ExCel Exhibition Centre in London on June 16,
2015, during Health & Safety Week. Jon said: “This gold medal is for everyone within our 1500 strong organisation who consistently exceed the required health and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of all our customers, our suppliers and our own colleagues at Stannah. We are very proud to receive the award on behalf of all our employees but must give special mention to our health and safety team who work tirelessly to maintain our standards.’

David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, added: “The RoSPA Awards encourage improvement in occupational health and safety management. Organisations that gain recognition for their health and safety management systems, such as Stannah Lifts Group of Companies, contribute to raising standards overall and we congratulate them.’

In support of this mission, the RoSPA Awards, which date back 59 years, recognise commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work. Through the scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
