Process gas analysers
Instrumentation distributor and service provider Quantitech has released a new range of process gas analysers based on tuneable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS).
“Whilst these instruments are new to the UK and Ireland, the manufacturer Focused Photonics Inc (FPi) has an installed base of over 8,000 instruments, so this is a well-established technology and we are delighted to have been given exclusive distribution rights for our territory,” says Quantitech MD Keith Golding.
“By utilising ‘single-line’ spectroscopy, the Laser Gas Analyser (LGA) range can be configured for continuous analysis of a number of key compounds, with an enormous dynamic range from single figure ppm to % levels, without interference from other process components,” he adds.
Typical applications include ammonia slip control, HCl measurement for sorbent injection optimisation, furnace oxygen, flue gas monitoring in FCC catalyst regeneration, trace H2S and H2O in natural gas, H2S measurements in sulphur recovery, and cross-duct CO monitoring for electrostatic precipitator safety.
