Tailored management training

According to the FSDF, the new course will provide logistics professionals with dedicated and focused training modules which will directly improve their people management skills to help them raise their own performance levels as well as their teams’.



Chris Sturman, chief executive of FSDF commented, “This is a great initiative to provide quality management training and development to professionals within the logistics industry. The course has been specifically designed in consultation with a number of our members to ensure it meets the needs of organisations working and growing in the UK in 2015, and addresses the specific challenges they face. We look forward to rolling out the course across a number of regions throughout the year.”



The training will be delivered by Jasper Gilder, who has been providing organisational development consultancy and training solutions to companies of all sizes, predominately in the logistics industry, for a number of years. His extensive career includes coaching senior managers in logistics businesses, training middle managers and developing first line managers and supervisors, helping to change site cultures and methodologies, as well as designing and developing performance review systems.



The courses comprise four modules and delegates can opt to attend one or all of the sessions. Sessions include interactive teambuilding sessions which explore motivation and engagement, guidance on dealing with difficult customers and raising customer service standards, developing management skills and performance management.



The FSDF’s courses will run over two consecutive days and will be hosted regionally throughout the year. The next courses will take place in Peterborough on 14-15 July and in Hemel Hempstead on 16-17 July.
