Put to the test

Environmental Scientifics Group
(ESG), has announced that it has
developed an on-site facility for
testing bituminous materials.

Since 1995, ESG has used UKAS
accredited containerised on-site
material laboratories to test samples
from the natural and built
environments..

The testing of the bituminous
materials uses solvents not normally
employed within the on-site material
laboratories. Therefore, to meet
health and safely ventilation
requirements, a new bituminous
testing lab was added in April. This
means that ESG will have a purposebuilt,
secure containerised portable
site facility.

“We are in the process of
obtaining UKAS accreditation for
the commissioning of site
laboratories,” says Darren
Thorowgood, Operations Manager,
“which will enable us to add real
value to our clients.”
