Mott MacDonald health and safety
manager Kristel Blackburn won two
special awards, as well as collecting
her diploma, at the National
Examination Board in Occupational
Safety and Health (NEBOSH)
graduation, which took place on 28
June at Warwick University.

Blackburn was named Overall
Best Candidate for her work in
attaining the diploma, which is given
to the individual with the highest
overall mark. She also received the
Best Candidate Award for her work
on the second unit of the diploma
Hazardous Agents in the Workplace,
which follows on from last years’
results when she obtained the Best
Candidate award for the first unit of
the diploma, Managing Health and
Safety.

“Its really good to be recognised
by NEBOSH,” says Blackburn.

“These awards have given me a good
basis to work from for the future and
it made all the hard work needed for
the diploma worthwhile.”
“This is a tremendous
achievement,” says Chris Davis, Mott
MacDonald director of
transportation. “The special
recognition Kristel has received for
her exceptional performance is a
great demonstration of professional
excellence and will only further
enhance the capabilities of our health
and safety team.”
