Thank you for the music: win with Casella at Expo

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Ever wondered what it would be like to experience noise induced hearing damage? At this year’s Expo you can with Casella’s Never Mind the Buzzing competition.

In an effort to raise awareness, Casella, the leading provider of dust and noise monitoring solutions is offering visitors to its Expo stand the chance to win an exciting prize that will be announced on their Twitter before the show.  All visitors have to do is listen to a selection of songs and identify them. But there’s a catch … each song will be digitally edited to emulate the effects of noise induced hearing loss!

Ten million people in the UK have some degree of hearing loss and that figure is expected to rise to around 14.5 million by 2031, so it is vital that we not only understand the effects of noise induced hearing loss, but also learn how to effectively manage the causes.

Throughout Expo, Casella’s experts will be on hand to offer advice to anyone wishing to implement a successful noise or dust monitoring programme in their company, as well as running an offer for visitors to trade in any dosimeter to save up to 20% on the Casella dBadge2.

Casella’s range of products will also be on display for hands on viewing, including the IS dBadge2 and Apex2 dust monitoring device.

Earlier this year, Casella launched its Intrinsically Safe dBadge2, meaning that noise monitoring is now safely available to hazardous industries, such as oil and gas, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. This impressive development was the result of six months intense work for Casella’s engineers and has made a significant contribution to the accessibility of noise monitoring.
