Firefighting gloves

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Bennett Safetywear, the long established Liverpool-based manufacturer of high performance hand protection, will be showcasing the latest additions to its well-known Blazemaster range of structural firefighting gloves certified to EN659.

Based on the success of its popular Blazemaster Pro-fit MKV, the new versions are said to afford significantly enhanced performance levels for both thermal and mechanical hazards without comprising the high levels of comfort and dexterity associated with the Blazemaster Pro-Fit range. They are available in a range of styles offering end-users a choice of constructions and reinforcements to respond to their specific operational requirements.

The new DuoFlex model also incorporates OutDry’s state-of-the-art membrane and liner retention system which will avoid many of the problems stemming from traditional waterproofing solutions.

Along with its new Blazemaster structural fire-fighting gloves, Bennett Safetywear will be showing its recently extended range of Extricator lightweight technical rescue/RTC gloves which are already in service with UK fire services. For the police service, on show will be a new addition to its well-established AJAX range of public order gloves, certified to BS 7971-6, and a touch-screen version of its Sentinel-C leather uniform glove providing Level 5 cut-resistance to EN388, as well as a number of other innovative products for the emergency services.
