Actavo receives presidential nod

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

The RoSPA President’s Award has been presented to Actavo for its ongoing commitment to sustaining the highest possible levels of safety.

Celebrating a diamond anniversary, the RoSPA award scheme is one of the longest-running programmes of its kind. Recognising an organisation’s commitment to preventing accidents and ill-health at work, companies are awarded for having stringent health and safety systems, best practice, leadership and workplace involvement.

CEO of Actavo structural division, Roger Hastie, said: “Keeping our team and the public safe will always be our top priority. We’re constantly vigilant in preventing complacency and our entire company is focused on zero harm.”

Actavo’s SHEQ director, Neill Moffat, added: “To ensure the welfare of everyone at Actavo, we instil stringent practices into the core of our business. Our integrated SHEQ (safety, health, environment and quality) management system means everyone works to the same standards in terms of safety at work.

“Our 12th RoSPA award belongs to the team for their unwavering commitment to working safely despite relentless challenges.”
