Bank employees offered personal safety app

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

South African bank, First National Bank, is partnering with UK-based tech firm, PanicGuard, to offer employees a personal safety app linked to on-demand armed response.

With most incidents that put its workforce at risk being outside the ‘traditional’ workspace, the bank identified a rising need to secure its employees, regardless of where they are. This move has not only allowed them to offer staff greater peace of mind but, with the rise of a remote and travelling workforce, it is also future-proof as digital transformation starts to take centre stage in the financial sector.

Shirene Ruscoe, FNB Travel Risk, says: "Rolling out this technology drives employee satisfaction and safety – which are all key to our ongoing success."

The bank believes this move to be a clear indication of the future of the workplace and what needs to be implemented across organisations in a bid to stay at the forefront of business.

PanicGuard is the creator of Zecure, a flexible, subscription-based personal safety solution. It is set up in minutes, offering a fully customisable App and powerful cloud-based safety monitoring dashboard. Learn more at: www.zecure.co.uk

The company will be at Safety & Health Expo, stand SH4082
