Bespoke ventilation booths

Filtrex Global, a manufacturer of superior ventilation systems, are now including bespoke ventilation booths among the services they offer.

Additional to the general ventilation system for the building, booths offer a specific opportunity for individuals or small teams to work safely in heavily polluted work areas.

A building-wide ventilation system is an absolute minimum for any industrial, commercial, medical or public building, but certain processes require a more targeted solution. Filtrex Global Ventilation Booths are suitable for people working with substances giving off large quantities of solvents, or those with jobs that create heavy local pollution.

Booths are localised units that can be small enough to sit on the worktop or large enough for the worker to stand inside. They can be either the traditional dry type that filters out airborne particulates, or water wash booths using either a pump or self-induced spray.

If your employees perform tasks like sanding, paint spraying, heavy foundry fettling or GRP trimming, a Filtrex Global ventilation booth will help you comply with a range of standards, including The Worker Protection Directive (Directive 99/92/EC) and the current COSHH regulations.

Filtrex Global's venture into providing ventilation booths is already showing early successes. In one case, a factory threatened with closure because of high solvent emissions was fitted with a 2-stage carbon filtration booth which reduced emissions by over 90%.

Ventilation booths come in several general types, such as bench booths, machinery enclosure booths and walk-in booths. No two requirements are identical, however, so Filtrex Global approaches each commission as a unique project.

After establishing your particular needs, their CAD team will design in your particular requirements. This will include the nature of the work, the type of particulates needing to be removed from the air, and issues concerning the booth’s placement.
