Boot prevents broken leg

French premium safety footwear brand Jallatte’s high-performing safety boot, manufactured by Aimont-Safety Shoe Co, has saved a man who fell from a tree from serious injury to his foot and leg.

Chris White had been standing on a platform 30 feet up a tree. , cutting off some branches using a chain saw. As he cut through one branch, it started to crack and appeared ready to fall.

“I removed my chainsaw and switched it safely off, but the branch started to crack upwards instead of going in the direction I had expected. I had nowhere to go,” he explained.

Chris tried to get out of the way, but the branch, which shot down past his shoulder, unsteadied him, causing him to lose his footing. “I had to find somewhere to put my foot, and as it went down about two feet below into the ‘V’ of another branch, my ankle turned over in my boot.”

By the time Chris got to hospital, his leg was bruised from his toenails to above his knee, while his ankle was twice its normal size. “My injuries could have been so much more serious,” says Chris. “My fantastic Jallatte boot saved me from much worse damage and prevented my foot and ankle breaking.”
