Breathing air compressors

These units are designed to generate high purity air for four or eight breathing apparatus users. These are suitable for a variety of industries including pharmaceutical, petrochemical and nuclear.

The BAC units are trailer mounted which makes them easy to transport to the work location. Powered by a diesel engine with a direct drive to the compressor, all units are fitted with a chalwyn valve and spark arrestor as standard, for automatic shutdown and explosion protection. Constructed to meet the requirements of EN139/EN14594 for Airline Breathing Apparatus these units produce high purity air to EN12021.

In addition to the compressor air, a high pressure 200 bar cylinder bank provides a secondary air supply which automatically operates in the event of the main supply failing or being compromised. If the main supply should fail there is an alarm which simultaneously activates giving an audible and visual warning.

The compressors feature a removable control panel. This gives users an option of removing the panel from the trailer and positioning it remotely to just outside the work zone.
