China laboratory

INSPEC the independent
provider of testing and
certification services to
manufacturers of personal
protective equipment (PPE),
has opened a laboratory in
China. The move recognises
the growing influence of
China in the global safety
market and the requirement
for Chinese manufacturers
to have an easy, efficient and
reputable solution for
accessing international
markets.

The new facility, which
is based in Kunshan City
near Shanghai, will initially
be used for testing and
certifying protective
headwear and personal fall
arrest equipment, although
the service will soon be
expanded to cover other
items of PPE. The customdesigned
laboratory has
been equipped to carry out
all forms of mechanical,
chemical, physical and
environmental testing.
