Cleaning and maintenance training

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Polyflor, the UK’s commercial vinyl flooring specialist, has launched a Cleaning and Maintenance Training Course at their established training school facility in Manchester.

The Polyflor Cleaning and Maintenance Course is designed to help facilities management staff in the healthcare sector, amongst others, gain a better understanding of the importance of correct floorcare for the long term performance of their Polyflor vinyl floorcovering. The one day course is free to attend and includes both practical and theory work on using the correct cleaning methods, equipment and products.

The course content includes guidance on health and safety, the importance of floorcare, cleaning methods and the cleaning requirements of different Polyflor floorcoverings. For more information on course dates and availability, please contact the Training School on 0161 767 111 or [email protected]

Polyflor customer technical support engineer Robert Stocker said: “The correct maintenance regime is essential to protect the performance and aesthetics of floorcoverings, especially in hygiene critical areas. Polyflor flooring is designed to be durable and low maintenance, so when cared for correctly over its lifespan of 20-25 years it is both environmentally sustainable and cost effective as it uses less energy, polish, water and cleansing chemicals than other flooring options.”
