Custom made earplugs offer attenuation from low 12dB to high 34dB

Working on the premise that a good
fit determines wearer comfort and
the frequency of wearing hearing
protectors, the Variphone is fully
custom made. The earplug offers a
host of features – the continuously
adjustable valve allows for
attenuation to be set between 12
and 34dB so that the noise level is
reduced to just below the safe
threshold.

The Variphone’s two-canal design
allows for quick, efficient quality
checks to be carried out and
repeated at regular intervals (usually
annual). Wearers report that even
with their earplugs in they are still
able to sufficiently hear.

Established in the UK since 1997,
Variphone UK reports at least ten
years’ wearability from the ear plugs
and with hearing level maintained
in often harsh high noise
environments. Custom earplugs are
also supplied for music players and
listeners, motor sport and impulse
noise, for example, shooting.
