Daylight saving time
The warehouse and distribution facilities of an industrial equipment and hardware distributor in Germany have been fitted with Theben HTS KNX presence detectors for lighting control. These have led to significant financial savings.
The selection of KNX intelligent building technology, using Theben KNX certified devices, offered a high degree of flexibility – for example, the Theben MIX range can combine basic modules with two extension modules, cutting down the number of bus devices required.
Instead of lights being left on all day, now the lights in 35 warehouse aisles are only on constantly in the early hours when orders are processed.
When the aisles are only occasionally occupied, the automatic system ensures the lights are on for a short period of time.
In the visitor display area, exhibits only light up when somebody approaches.
