Driving down accidents
Facilities maintenance contractor Riggotts has agreed to implement driver safety specialist Lytx Europe’s DriveCam Programme after identifying its potential at an early stage of a trial.
Riggotts agreed to deploy the Programme early after experiencing significant improvements to driver safety, including a reduction in the number of collisions. Lytx’s DriveCam Programme combines video, predictive analytics and a cloud-based driver performance management programme, allowing commercial drivers and fleet managers to identify the root causes of risky driving amongst their fleets.
Riggotts managing director Darren Riggott commented, “We had always considered our fleet to be very safety conscious, but the video-based DriveCam Programme highlighted areas for improvement right from that start. Working with their expert review and best-practice driver coaching programme made a difference and cut down on the number of collisions from the very first weeks.”
