Drum clamp attachment with weigh scale

Posted on Wednesday 29 September 2021

PACKLINE’S Vertical Drum Lifting Clamp with built in weigh scale was designed in response to a customer requirement in the food industry to lift drums and add and weigh ingredients by means of a built-in weighing scale.

The weighing scale is built into the clamp attachment and enables the operator to accurately add the ingredients to the required amount within a margin of 0.1kg.

The clamp attachment encompasses a sliding, suspended carriage. This lifting arrangement with the built-in weigh scale enables the operator to accurately add the required ingredients to the required weight accurately and easily.

The Clamp Attachment has been specifically designed to handle drums and similar vessels by providing powered vertical lifting and lowering only (i.e. no rotation of the drum).

The clamping mechanism is fitted with a torque limiter so that the gripping pads do not over or under tighten on the external diameter of the drum. These features enable the operator to lift, transport and handle the drums with complete confidence and safety.

The attachment is backed up by a full bespoke design service so ensuring that the right solution can be made to suit most lifting requirements. All Packline attachments are fully interchangeable and can be easily fitted or removed from any model of Compac lifting machine that is fitted with the attachment quick release system.

This lifting equipment has a maximum capacity of 225kg; however larger capacities, and to suit other types and styles of drums with their materials, may be available on request.
