Dusting down the manufacturing industry

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Major manufacturing companies across food, automotive, tier 1 suppliers, electro mechanical, pharmaceutical, plastics, packaging and aerospace rely on ProfilGate to control contamination and dust.

The very nature of these operations involves significant forklift truck movements, which in turn carries granular dirt and debris into the facility. The constant grinding of this dirt converts it into air borne dust which contaminates every horizontal surface – including branded products.

ProfilGate brushes off dirt and debris from vehicle tyres and soles of shoes. The dirt is captured beneath the brushes, therefore not being carried in to the facility to be ground in to air borne dust. It is also proven to help reduce the risk of trips and slips due to its ability to capture moisture at source.

“Since the installation of the ProfilGate system, we haven’t had a single customer complaint caused by dusty bottles or cans,” said a world-leading global drinks manufacturer.

Beverage companies and companies alike, wrap their palletized goods to protect their brand image from dust contamination and their brand image.

"We significantly reduced airborne dust in our warehouses and increased the time frame of the wrapping process by 350% by capturing the dust and dirt before it gets airborne and settles on the bottles," explained a major Dutch drinks manufacturer.
